Hsiang Hsiang Wang sier
I am from Taiwan, a tropical island country lay on the pacific, 8,000 km away from Oslo.
Its the first year of my master's study at age 26,
I never cooked before.
With extremely high living costs and plain nordic food, I have to train myself to be able to make dinner.
lack of eastern ingredients and cooking experience, the recipe has to be easy and tasty!
I found out halal meat shop is always cheaper than supermarkets, especially chicken wings.
and for some reason I start to drink fizzy water and coke, personally feel very refreshed and energetic when drinking it, also believe nordic coke taste better than in the south.
from the memory, I remember seeing my mom and aunt use coke for slow-cook with pork leg, saying it will make the skin more tender and the sugar will help the sauce taste better.
can't afford pork leg in Norway, but what if I use chicken wings instead? it's 35kr per kg (price in 2015)
and that's how coke cola chicken happens. my first west and east combination cuisine
